Caldrons of "Laba Porridge", which is made from dozens of ingredients, were served freely for local citizens by a pharmacy in Chenghuang Temple in Shanghai on the Laba Festival on Saturday.
The tradition of drinking the porridge cooked with fresh paddy and nuts on the Laba Festival is observed throughout China on the eighth day of 12th lunar month every year.
