Airliners to manage flights between 27 cities and Taiwan

China announced on Tuesday that airline companies could manage cross-strait regular flights in 27 mainland cities. The rules apply to both passenger and cargo transport planes.

11 mainland airlines will participate, including big players such as Air China and China Eastern Airlines. China Eastern will be allowed 29 shifts per week from 9 mainland cities to Taipei. Air China will have 27 shifts per week.
