The 56 National Solidarity Pillars will be moved from the Tian'anmen Square to Olympic Park before the end of the year, according to the management committee of Tian'anmen Square Monday.
Lu Jiankang, designer of the pillars said in an interview before the National Day holiday that the pillars would be placed on National Avenue in Olympic Green after the National Day holiday.
Currently the 56 pillars stand in rows on the east and the west of Tian'anmen Square, along the Great Hall of the People and the National Museum.
Experts explained the pillars are too huge and easily to shade other architectures, and their gold and red colors and pattern don't match Tian'anmen Square.
The pillars will be easily moved as they can be taken apart and removed. They will be removed as soon as the moving day is set, according to the construction organization.
