A villager walks by a flood-battered road in Yuantoutun, a mountainous village in Rongshui Miao autonomous county, Southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, June 23, 2010. The village's 14 residents of four families collected money to build the 4.6-km road, the village's only link to the outside from May 2008 to February 2009, which was severed by the recent floods that ravaged the area. In order to rebuild the road, the small village has had to take on 35,000 yuan ($5,155) in debt, even though the four families already were left impoverished after building this road. The only tools they can use are their bare hands because they can't afford an excavator. The road is expected to reopen in two years. [Photo/Asianewsphoto]
