Fire engulfs restaurant in northeast China

HARBIN, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- A fire engulfed a seafood restaurant in northeastern Chinese city of Harbin Friday. Casualties are not immediately known.

Witnesses said thick smokes could be seen and explosions were heard from inside the restaurant in Nangang District of Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang Province.

Dozens of fire-fighters are struggling to put out the blaze.

The fire broke out at about 9:30 a.m., witnesses said.
