The first batch of cotton pickers from Tianshui City in northwest China's Gansu Province went back home by train from Xinjiang on Wednesday. The cotton pickers are from many provinces in China, including Gansu, Jiangsu and Sichuan. Previously, they were picking cotton in Xinjiang, China's major cotton producing region, as a means to earn money.
