Pupils take up books, pens, and hand-stoves in cold weather

Without a heating system at school, students have to take along their makeshift hand-stoves to keep warm. The stoves are made from different materials, such as metal bucket and washbowl.

Xinhuang county, located in western-most Hunan, has been hit by severe freeze brought by cold snap from the north recently.
