PM2.5-airborne pollutants smaller than 2.5 microns in diameter-monitors are unveiled for the first time in Beijing.
City authorities plan to release PM2.5 data before the Spring Festival holiday begins on Jan 23. Meanwhile, the city will speed up efforts to control air pollution in 2012.
