BEIJING, May 11 (Xinhua) -- A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Friday met here with visiting South African Communist Party (SACP) General Secretary Blade Nzimande, and they vowed to push forward inter-party ties.
Li, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said the two parties enjoy a solid friendship and a long history of mutual support.
Noting that party-building and the cause of socialism advanced by the two parties are entering a new phase for both parties, Li said the CPC stands ready to step up inter-party exchanges with the SACP.
Nzimande said the SACP highly values the traditional friendship with the CPC, and is willing to discuss theories and practices of socialist construction with the CPC.
