BEIJING, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Premier Wen Jiabao on Tuesday pledged to further promote relations with central-east European countries, including Macedonia.
"China will work with central-east European countries to enhance mutual trust and take care of major concerns," Wen said during a meeting with his Macedonian counterpart Nikola Gruevski.
In order to boost bilateral ties, China will implement proposed measures and initiatives and establish long-term cooperation through relevant mechanisms, Wen told Gruevski, who is in Beijing to attend an economic forum.
Wen recalled an April meeting between leaders of China and central-east European countries in Warsaw, Poland, describing the meeting as being "of great importance."
Gruevski said the measures China announced at the April meeting have been welcomed in both Europe and China.
Macedonia will adhere to the one-China policy and appreciates China's support, he said, pledging to further cooperation in energy, transportation, infrastructure, investment and trade.
