United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon left New York for Beijing on July 16 to pay an official visit to China from July 17 to July 19.

The UN official account on SINA Weibo, a twitter-like Chinese micro blogging platform, announced in a tweet posted on July 15 that Ban will hold an online chat with Weibo users around 7:30 pm Tuesday on arriving in Beijing. Topics include UN work and hot international issues.

Ban pays the visit at the invitation of the Chinese government, according to Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin.

This is the UN secretary’s 5th official visit to China since he took office. In order to post a question to Ban, you need to sign up to Sina Weibo and follow @联合国 (<http://weibo.com/un>).
