The 13th Beijing Municipal People's Congress held its 34th plenary session in Beijing on Wednesday morning, according to report by People's Daily.
The congress decided to accept the resignation of Guo Jinlong from the post of Mayor of Beijing, and the resignation of Ji Lin from the post of Vice Mayor of Beijing.
The decision is to be reported to the Beijing's Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress for the record.
The 34th plenary session also elected Wang Anshun and Li Shixiang as Vice Mayors of Beijing. Wang Anshun was appointed as the Acting Mayor.
