Wife of Lin Yifu elected as Taiwan deputy to NPC

Thirteen deputies to represent Taiwan at the upcoming 12th National People's Congress (NPC) were elected on Wednesday via secret ballot in Beijing.

The elected deputies all expressed their determination to exercise their rights and perform their duties earnestly.

Chen Yunying, a professor of the National Institute of Education Sciences (NIES) and also the wife of Lin Yifu, one of China’s most well-known economists, was elected as the representative for the third time.
