The Nobel Laureate for literature Mo Yan recently bought a house in Beijing, reported by Chinese media. The 200㎡-house, located outside the fifth Ring road of Beijing costs him 3.6M yuan or $586,100, almost half of his Nobel prize.

When previously asked how he plans to use the prize, Mo Yan admitted that he would consider buying a house in Beijing so that he could move out from his current 91㎡ home in which the family of 5, including his wife, daugher, son-in-law and grandson, lives. But given the soaring housing price, he wouldn't expect a big one.
