The Party branch of Huanggang sub-district office in S. China’s Zhaoqing, using public fund, arranged a trans-provincial trip for its officials who were allegedly watching pole dancing during the trip ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival, China.org.com reported on Tuesday.

According to the report, this is not their first tour at public expense, and they have traveled to several scenic spots including Nanao Island, Qiao Island and Yangsuo in the past.

The spokesman of Zhaoqing city said the district government is investigating the report and will disclose the details after the investigation.

The district discipline watchdog told the reporter they have sent a probe team to the sub-district office.

However, a sub-district official claimed that “the fact is not like the report”, but he didn't point out which part of the report was untrue.
