CHANGCHUN, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Northeast China's Jilin Province on Wednesday reported 33 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and six new asymptomatic infections, the provincial health commission said Thursday.
Of the new confirmed cases, 29 were reported in the city of Tonghua, two in the provincial capital Changchun and the other two in the city of Songyuan. The new confirmed cases include 28 that were previously reported as asymptomatic cases.
The new asymptomatic cases were all reported in Tonghua.
As of Wednesday, there were 300 confirmed locally transmitted cases and 39 asymptomatic infections in the province.
