MACAO, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- One person was injured in a fishing vessel fire on sea waters near Macao late on Wednesday, according to local authorities.
The person was in stable condition and sent to hospital for treatment, authorities said.
The fire was reported at around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and was brought under control in about half an hour.
Authorities have urged fishermen to stay alert to emergencies as more fishing vessels return to Macao for the Chinese New Year, which falls on Feb. 12 this year.
The cause of the accident is under further investigation.
