BEIJING, July 30 (Xinhua) -- The Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) on Friday published punishments on seven typical cases which infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of military personnel and their families, and national defense interests.

The cases, handled by procuratorial organs nationwide, involve crimes including impersonating a serviceman to deceive people, obstructing military personnel from performing their duties and illegal trade in uniforms of armed forces.

The Criminal Law stipulates that any act seriously infringing upon the lawful rights and interests of servicemen and their families or endangering the interests of national defense shall be investigated for criminal responsibility in accordance with the law, according to an official with the SPP.

In recent years, procuratorial organs across the country have punished relevant crimes in accordance with the law and actively carried out military-related judicial assistance. Enditem
