Para…what? Ignorance about the Paralympics

Now that the Olympics are over, we can go back to life as usual right? Hey, but what about the Paralympics? How come people are forgetting about the pinnacle of handicapped sports? Perhaps it was the limited scope of my survey group, the residents of the Wudaokou/ Haidian area, but it seemed like no one was itching for the start of the Paralympics. Some of the people I asked pretty much asked me what the Paralympics were. Ok, so while I myself have never watched the Paralympics, I know WHAT they are. Aside from that fairly ludicrous question, the general consensus is that there was no point watching a bunch of non-able bodied people play sports. Well, I am going to prove these people wrong. These athletes work just as hard, if not harder than the Olympians to get where they are. On that note, I’ll be back with a list of must watch Paralympic events.
