Let’s Go Fly a Kite
The annual Weifang International Kite Festival takes place from April 20-25. It’s a favorite trip for kite fans and families alike. The highlight is hundreds of kite lovers taking their winged creations to the beach and sending them into the sky. Weifang, on the Shandong coast, is one of China’s three famous kite-making cities (along with Beijing and Tianjin). Shops in town sell magnificent examples which make fantastic souvenirs.
