Margarita Bubbler
We love tequila, but most margaritas in Beijing are too syrupy for our taste, so when CW site user Paticamelo extolled the virtues of Face Bar’s “platinum margarita” on our site, we had to give it a try. It turns out the “platinum margarita” is just what we were looking for. It’s sweetened with Cointreau and Grand Marnier, so there’s none of the candied syrup found in out-of-the-bottle margarita mix. Made with quality tequila and fresh lime then served in a giant salted glass, Face Bar’s twist on the traditional margarita comes at the end, when it’s topped off with Taittinger Champagne. The result is a bubbly, smooth concoction that astounds the palate. But imbiber beware, this cocktail comes fully loaded. In the words of Paticamelo, “It will knock you out without warning.” ¥80.
