Tired of 3-D? Up your movie experience at the latest edition to Beijing’s cinema scene, a 4-D theater located just inside the Olympic Green.

South Korean cinema giant CGV Cinema’s first project in Beijing, the theater brings audiences into the experience with wind, rain, scents, shaking seats and special light effects.

The two-floor cinema is on the basement floor of Xin Ao Plaza, a shopping mall that is slated for a grand opening early next year.

In total the place has eight screens, and seating for 1,200. Try watching Avatar again in 4-D for ¥150, or check out Legend of the First: The Return of Chen Zhen in the room with vibration seats, for ¥100. The cinema will also soon open a Kids Hall, where parents can play games and watch animated films with the kiddies.
