Glass bead games: Vintage finds

This small shop not far from Penghao Theater is a great place to find vintage jewelry, bags from Germany, Belgium and France, vintage furniture collected from around China and traditional instruments from Bali and Africa. Glass Bead Games’ most popular items are their wooden hairpins and original jewelry created by students at Academy of Arts and Design at Tsinghua University.

Play around with Bali’s unique instrument, the kalimba (RMB98-198), or try a Jamaican leather drum (RMB4,000). On the first Saturday every month, the shop gets together with some of the neighboring shops to hold a flea market, where you will find vintage items and original works at reasonable prices.
