Designer of Mo Yan’s five costumes exposed

After Mo Yan, this year's winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, arrived at Stockholm to attend the award ceremony, Chen Bei, the designer of his five outfits, including swallowtail, Chinese tunic suit and Western-style suit, also rises to fame on the Internet.

Chen Bei, a costume designer of her own original brand, once presented at the Tianjin TV program “Chinese Beauty”, and even designed clothes for the former French First Lady Carla Bruni.

“The most distinctive feature of her design is to infuse Chinese element well into the International fashion style.” introduced by a member of the program “Chinese Beauty”.

Chen Bei has not only designed Mo Yan’s costumes, but also his wife’s and daughter’s, according to the local media. However, she insisted not to reveal specifics until the award ceremony, only telling the media that the dominant hue of Mo Yan’s attire is black, white and grey.
