The mummy found last week in central China's Henan province and its coffin mysteriously disappeared the day after it was unearthed, according to media reports. A 92-year-old man claimed that it is his great grandfather’s body.
Villagers living nearby were planning to remove and re-bury the mummy, but the next day, they found it, together with its coffin, had disappeared and now the construction site where the tomb was unearthed has resumed working.

Last week, citizens in Xiangcheng city, central Henan province, unearthed an ancient tomb with a mummy in it, which is well-preserved and wears a robe of Qing Dynasty. The tomb was reportedly unearthed by a working excavator at a construction site above it. The department of archaeology has begun investigation.
