BEIJING, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- American superhero film "Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen" led the Chinese mainland daily box office Monday, according to the China Movie Data Information Network Tuesday.
The film raked in about 12.85 million yuan (about 1.95 million U.S. dollars) on its opening day on the mainland.
War film "The Sacrifice" ranked second, grossing about 9.91 million yuan Monday. Set in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953), the film was co-directed by Guan Hu, the director of this year's blockbuster war epic "The Eight Hundred."
Coming in third was "Back to the Wharf," which raked in about 3.7 million yuan Monday. Enditem
