BEIJING, Jan. 22 (Xinhuanet)-- U.S. pop singer Britney Spears showed up for a court-ordered deposition Monday morning at the office of her ex-husband's attorney in Los Angeles.
Shortly after 10:30 a.m. local time, as U.S. media reports said, the pop singer arrived with a friend at the Century City, Calif., office of Mark Vincent Kaplan, who represents Kevin Federline in their tug-of-war over their two kids Sean Preston, 2 and Jayden James, 1.
The two were seen leaving more than two hours later.
On the way out, she was tight-lipped and when asked how she was feeling, she told the reporter, "I¡¦m doing fine thanks!"
It is reported that Spears has been avoiding for months to give her deposition by being absent from the court, in which she was expected to answer questions about her past drug and alcohol use, her apparent failure to follow court orders and other matters regarding her parenting skills.
On the night of Jan. 3., the singer was taken to a hospital after a standoff in her home when she refused to return the children to Federline's bodyguard following a visit.
She was absent from a court hearing on Jan. 14, though she showed up hours late, and then left amid a swarm of paparazzi.
Consequently, a court commissioner opted to keep in effect an order suspending her right to visit her two sons.
She will get another chance Feb. 19 to persuade the court to restore her visitation right.
