Gwen Stefani pregnant with second child

BEIJING, Jan. 30 (Xinhuanet) -- Singer and songwriter Gwen Stefani is pregnant with her second child, according to media reports Wednesday.

Stefani, 38, and Gavin Rossdale, 40, who gained fame in British rock band Bush, have one other child, a son named Kingston who was born in 2006. Stefani and Rossdale were married in 2002.

In an August 2007 interview, Stefani called Kingston ¡§the best thing that has ever happened to me¡¨ and said she was eager for another addition to the family.

Media quoted Douglas Rossdale, Gavin's father, as saying, "we are very much looking forward to another grandchild."

California native Stefani rose to record stardom singing for the band No Doubt in the 1980s and 1990s. Her "Love. Angel. Music. Baby" in 2004 was her first solo album, which proved to be a breakout solo hit. In 2006, she released another solo effort, "Sweet Escape."
