The First Asian Face of Gucci

BEIJING, Feb. 1 -- Actor Huang Xiaoming has signed a deal with the luxury brand Gucci to promote their 2008 limited edition sports range, the brand announced at the product release conference on Thursday.

A production team flew earlier from Italy to Hong Kong to shoot for the Asian print ads for the red-colored product series, local media reports.

This is the first time that a Gucci advertisement is featuring an Asian star and is shot by a local photographer in Asia.

"I'm proud of it!" said the 31-year-old actor.
