Angelina Jolie gave birth to her twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, with the peaceful sound of pipe music playing in the background. The star of Wanted, who welcomed her twins into the world on July 12, also requested a CD of bird noises and running water to ensure that the ambiance of the delivery room was calm and restful.

A source said: "The birth took about an hour. There were soothing sounds of running water, birds, Buddhist chants and reed pipe music playing in the background."

Angelina also asked her partner Brad Pitt and her brother James Haven to stay in her hospital room the night before she went into labor.

The source added: "During the birth, Brad held Angelina's hand and kept telling her, 'You are doing great baby!' By the time the twins were born, tears of happiness and emotion were on the faces of both parents!"
