rad Pitt bid $120,000 at Sean Penn's charity gala to watch "Game of Thrones" with the show's star, Emilia Clarke, but was outbid.

Pitt's bid at Saturday Night's 7th Annual Sean Penn & Friends Haiti Rising Gala, benefitting the J/P Haitian Relief Organization, climbed to six figures from its opening price of $20,000. Pitt was reportedly on his phone when the auction began, but once the opportunity to hang out with the 31-year-old Mother of Dragons was announced, the "Moneyball" actor began clapping and raising his bidding paddle with excitement, People reported.

Emilia Clarke's "Game of Thrones" co-star Kit Harington said he'd watch the show with the winner as well.

Pitt raised his bid mid-auction from $90,000 to $120,000 after Clarke's "Thrones" co-star Kit Harington said he'd watch the show with the winner as well. But, once the auctioneer announced, "Just because it's Brad Pitt doesn't mean that you can't bid against him!" and two fellow philanthropic guests — a woman and her husband — upped the stakes to $160,000, Pitt retired his efforts.

Other celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Lean Dunham, Jeremy Renner, Edward Norton, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jason Segel were also in attendance and by the end of the evening, an enormous $37 million was raised for the people of Haiti.

"We fell in love with the organization," actor Rainn Wilson told the Los Angeles Times. "There's a giant chunk of Port-au-Prince that they have utterly transformed."(Agencies)
