Britney Spears filed a restraining order against paparazzi ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib and one-time manager Sam Lutfi. Spears' affairs have been controlled by her father as a "conservator" for the past year, and he obtained the order from a Los Angeles judge. Papers accuse Ghalib and Lutfi of trying to "disrupt" the conservatorship order.

Once again, reality TV is about to push the envelope. U.S. Network CBS has ordered a new series that puts singles into arranged marriages. The series will follow the marriages of couples paired together by their friends and family, but who are otherwise total strangers.

It was a cartoon showdown over the weekend at the Annie Awards, which recognize achievement in animation. Kung Fu Panda won best animation and 14 other awards including best direction and character design. It beat Disney's "Wall-E," which went home empty-handed despite eight nominations. That may throw a wrench in the Oscar race, as "Wall-E" has long been the favorite to win best animated feature.

Finally, Tuesday marks the 50th anniversary of the death of music icon Buddy Holly. Holly died in a small plane crash that also claimed the lives of Ritchie Valens and "The Big Bopper." But despite the years, Holly still remains popular - a pair of multi-disc CD sets have just been released featuring some of his greatest hits.
