Hollywood didn't feel January's chill.
It earned over $1 billion dollars for the first time, scoring its biggest total box office haul ever for a January, according to Media by Numbers.
The heroes of the month included big earners Clint Eastwood with his drama "Gran Torino" -- and surprisingly, "Paul Blart: Mall Cop," which has taken in over $84 million so far.
But while the recent box office take has been huge -- investors shouldn't think Hollywood is now a safe place to put their money, says Porter Bibb of Mediatech Capital Partners.
