Paris Hilton has donated Halloween decorations to a children's charity.
The socialite - who recently avoided jail after pleading guilty to misdemeanour drug possession and misdemeanour obstructing an officer after cocaine fell out of her handbag - and her boyfriend Cy Waits spent the day shopping for spooky treats for the ghoulish holiday on October 31, before taking them down to The Rescue Mission Shelter and handing over the traditional gifts.
She tweeted: "Just got home. Had a great day today. Cy and I went to the pumpkin patch to buy a bunch of pumpkins. Also some tools to carve and paint them and lots of candy and toys. Brought everything down to the children at The Rescue Mission Shelter. They were all so excited and grateful. It's such an amazing feeling to make a child smile and be happy."
Pumpkins are traditionally hollowed out, with faces carved through the flesh to create spooky shadows when candles are placed inside, while sweets and toys are typically given to children who knock on the doors of neighbours on Halloween.
Paris' day out yesterday (13.10.10) comes just hours after an intruder was arrested at her Los Angeles property the day before.
The man snuck past a security gate, attacked a security guard and started banging on her door.
He was arrested on suspicion of battery.
