It's not unusual to spend Christmas having a family meal.
But for the Beckhams - who don't do anything by halves - only the best will do.
And mother-of-three Victoria, who never needs an excuse to dress to the nines, this time managed to convince her boys to follow suit for the special occasion.
But despite her own efforts to look the part, Romeo definitely won the award for smartest Beckham.
While his brothers insisted on dressing down their shirt and tie combo - Brooklyn, nine, paired his with jeans and Cruz, three, opted for festive reindeer ears - Romeo went all out.
And by the looks of things, the apple doesn't fall very far from the tree as the six-year-old proudly held his mother's hand in a pinstripe suit and brown suede loafers.
The family enjoyed a Christmas Eve lunch at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant yesterday at luxury London hotel Claridge's ahead of David's three-month move to AC Milan on loan from U.S club, LA Galaxy.
But not even the sumptuous meal - or the fact that it's Christmas - was enough to force a smile out of Victoria who emerged from the hotel with her usual steely-eyed pose, in a black pencil skirt, white shirt and sky-high heels.
The fashionista recently admitted she has been working on her smile but so far has only managed a smirk.
Perhaps she is saving it for Christmas day.
During an interview in the January 2009 issue of U.S. style bible Harper's Bazaar, the 34-year-old says: 'I have started smiling. I've mastered this smirk; it's a smile that isn't a smile.'
'I used to get so nervous, and when I got on the red carpet, I'd freeze up. I've had so many things said about me over the years, like a public bullying.
'The older you get, the more comfortable you become with yourself, and you accept what you have physically. Also, the fact that my [fashion] business is doing very well makes me feel a little more confident, too.'
