It's amazing what a good night's sleep and a chic new haircut has done for Hollywood star Jessica Alba. The Sin City actress sported a stunning new 'fringe' trim in Los Angeles yesterday, Mail Online reported.

The new image was made even more striking when compared to a picture of her shopping for baby clothes two days ago looking rather dowdy.

The 27-year-old was spotted by photographers as she left the hairdresser in Beverley Hills.

Surrounded by an army of paparazzi she looked relaxed with her new bob - wearing big sunglasses, a yellow scarf, a grey top, jeans and slip-on gold shoes.

The contrast with her appearance two days ago could not have been more stark when she was pictured buying a smoothie, shopping at baby store Bel Bambino looking worn out with her hair in a side-parting.

The new do certainly appeared to impress her husband Cash Warren who was pictured running with an approving smile on his face.

Kate Moss set the trend for the fringe look after bringing it back into fashion last year.

Many celebrities including Katie Holmes and Fergie appeared to follow suit.

On Saturday she was seen in a Beverly Hills playground pushing their baby daughter Honor on the swings.

And just before the New Year she was seen looking relaxed with Cash in the park showing the pair had taken parenthood in their stride.

The couple, married in a quiet ceremony in May.

Jessica, who found fame as Sue Storm in the Fantastic Four film was recently at the centre of controversy after it emerged that images of her posing for a Campari advertisement were airbrushed.

The actress is currently shooting An Invisible Sign Of My Own after a short break.

She plays a maths genius who withdraws from life after her father comes down with a mysterious illness.
