Spain's world-famous tenor, Placido Domingo, joined Chinese folk singer Song Zuying and other performers for a concert last night at the Bird's Nest in Beijing.

The summer show, titled Attraction China was the second of its kind at the venue, following Jackie Cheng's concert in May.

Jay Chou, a pop idol from Taiwan, and pianist Lang Lang also performed.

Extra subway trains were laid on to transport people to and from the stadium, which has a maximum capacity of 90,000.

Song and Chou first performed together at the Spring Festival Gala earlier this year.
