Rihanna looked like a total charmer at the 2009 AMA's. With her outrageous and original fashion style, she's always one step ahead of the couture curve. But no matter how many designers, looks or fashion shows she dawns (or the paparazzi shoots her at) there's always two things that she always goes back to: Her signature cat eye liner and pale pink lips.
Scanning, obsessing, and observing the Gurus on Youtube I found Lauren Luke's video below, which exemplifies the signature Rihanna look fabulously. With a steady hand and liquid liner anyone can rock the cat-eye at the office, and especially on a hot date. Channel your inner bad girl because nothing says sexy more than the confidence and sultry of the signature black cat-eye. *Beauty Tip: Starting at the ends of the eye (making the "cat" of the cat-eye first) then filling in the rest from the inside out, makes it easy to nail even, and asymmetrical liner application, in a cinch.
The easiest way to do it is with a felt-tip liquid liner pen. Here are my all time favorite top three felt-tip liquid liners:
1. Revlon Liquid Eye Pen ($9.50) - Extremely affordable and does the job. Stays put and once dry, takes a street cleaner (or some really good eye makeup remover) to take off. Soft and comfortable, won't feel an irritating thing.
2. Sephora Doe Eyed Felt Liner ($12.00) - Sephora products never fail to provide products that deliver high-quality result bought on the secretly cheap. It is without parabens which makes it worth paying the extra few dollars.
3. Lancome Artliner Precision Point ($28.00) - The longest lasting and richest looking liner that I've tried. While other liquids take two coats to get the desired finish, Lancome's polymer formula ensures that the first line is the last.
