When you're a Hollywood star who's in high demand, it can be hard trying to get some quality time with your family.

And when you live on the other side of the world to them it can prove to be even more difficult.

So clearing her busy schedule was a must for Nicole Kidman as she and husband Keith Urban jetted off to Australia to spend time with their folks and celebrate her mother's 70th birthday.

Nicole and Keith were snapped hand-in-hand as they arrived at a restaurant in Sydney last night with his parents Bob and Marienne.

Moments earlier, her mother Janelle and father Anthony were pictured arriving in a chauffeur-driven car to start the birthday celebrations.

And while most A-listers would choose some fancy Michelin-starred restaurant to celebrate a very important birthday, Nicole and her family kept it very low-key, settling for some Turkish cuisine at a restaurant underneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
