There is news that Prince Albert II of Monaco will be getting married to his fiancé, Charlene Wittstock, this weekend. The guest list for the royal wedding has been released.
USA Today reports that the rumors of the split between the couple are false.
A French newspaper, LexPress, reported earlier this week that Wittstock was allegedly unhappy about Prince Albert II’s romantic past, resulting in a visit to South Africa.
While some say she was persuaded to stay, the palace denied all of the rumors and confirmed that the wedding was still on.
So, who is invited to the wedding? CBS News reports that Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld is invited, as are Bernard Arnault, the CEO of LVMH who is France's wealthiest man, and Renee Fleming, a U.S. soprano.
Charlene's wedding dress designer, Giorgio Armani, will be present at the wedding, and so will Roberto Cavalli. His majesty, Leruo Molotlegi of the Kingdom of Bafokeng in South Africa, is also expected to attend.
Several athletes and supermodels, including Naomi Campbell and Karolina Kurkova, are on the guest list. Interestingly, both Albert and Wittstock have participated in the Olympics, which explains the athletes who are on the guest list. Wittstock participated as a swimmer, and Albert competed as a bobsledder.
