Jennifer Lawrence is “really sick” from a respiratory infection.
The 22-year-old actress was too ill to attend the Australian Academy of Cinema Awards on Saturday.
Lawrence’s “Silver Linings Playbook” co-star Jacki Weaver was happy to take home the best actress trophy to her ailing colleague.
“Silver Linings Playbook” was named best film at the Second Annual Australia Academy of Cinema and Television Arts International Awards. The off-beat romantic comedy also earned David O. Russell best directing honors and Lawrence the award for best lead actress.
“Poor Jen is really sick. She really is sick. She has pneumonia.”
Bruce Cohen, who produced “Silver Linings Playbook,” thinks the actress is on the mend.
He revealed to Us Weekly magazine that the star would most likely be in attendance at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday.
Lawrence is nominated in the lead actress category at the Los Angeles event and will also present an award.
