Tang Dynasty theme park pulls in punters

BEIJING, April 21-- A cultural theme park opened in Shaanxi Province recently, letting the public, for the first time, get a taste of Tang Dynasty(AD 618-907) living.

Covering an area of 66 hectares, the park is said to be the largest cultural theme park in Northwest China, and also the biggest one recreating the dynasty's imperial garden style.

With an investment of 1.3 billion yuan(US$156 million), the theme park welcomed more than 50,000 visitors on opening day, Xinhua News Agency reports.
