BEIJING, Oct. 11(Xinhuanet)-- Over 80 well-known artists have been invited to perform at the CCTV's biggest annual show, the Spring Festival Gala, three months before the gala will be staged.

Comedian Zhao Benshan, a veteran at the Spring Festival Gala, will perform a comedy. He Qingkui, whose wife Gao Xiumin, a famous actress, died after a heart attack last month, will write the script for the comedy.

Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan plans to sing a song together with South Korean star Kim Hee-seon. The two are now promoting their new film"The Myth". Chan performed with his son Jaycee Fang last time.

Veteran mainland singer Mao Amin has prepared three songs for the gala.

Comedian Chen Peisi, who has not performed at the Spring Festival Gala for years despite his early popularity at the gala, also received an invitation. Chen said he would begin preparations his program as soon as possible.

Organizers of the gala said astronauts from China's second manned spaceship, the Shenzhou VI, would definitely appear at the gala. The Shenzhou VI will be launched later this month.

Zhou Tao, last gala's hostess, will not host this time, because she is now pregnant and has been temporarily transferred to another job. Sources with CCTV said Zhu Jun, Li Yong and Dong Qing would host the gala.
