Back in August, Ni had denied divorce rumors.

An official at the Dongcheng District marriage registration office in Beijing said Ni and her husband divorced by consent and that Ni was given custody of their son, Huzi.

Wang was introduced to Ni by his brother, Wang Wenquan, after Ni's romance with film director Chen Kaige ended. Ni and Wang married in 1997, the year after Chen Kaige married actress Chen Hong.

Both Wang Wenquan and Ni refused to comment.
