BEIJING, March 21(Xinhua)-- Two musicians from the Chinese People's Liberation Army(PLA) have turned President Hu Jintao's new concept of socialist values into a song, according to military sources.

Hu, also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, recently proposed the concept which stresses the values of patriotism, hard work and plain living, belief in science, consciousness of serving the people, solidarity, honesty and credibility, and observation of the law.

Shi Xiang and Sheng Mao, the two composers, composed the song shortly after Hu put forward the concept in a meeting with the participants of the session of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference(CPPCC) on March 4.

They taught the song in a PLA barrack in Beijing and it proved a success. Shi and Sheng have composed many of the most popular songs in the country. Enditem
