Survey: 70% of primary school students unhappy

BEIJING, Sept. 22 -- According to a recent survey done in Nanjing, about 70% of primary school students don't feel happy.

The Yangtze Evening News says most students are worried about their grades. Others may have problems in communicating with peers and parents. Some may just be too self-conscious. Moreover, since most students don't have people to talk to, they dwell on these things, which doesn't help to solve their problems.

A survey done in Hong Kong paints a similar situation. It reveals children aren't willing to turn to their parents for help when they are feeling down. The reason is in their mind, parents only care about their grades.

The paper suggests parents chat with their children, showing them care and praise. This will help to build their children's confidence.
