SHANGHAI, July 10 -- AN eight-year-old girl who sneaked into a phone company outlet to play with a computer deposited 325 million yuan (US$42.76 million) onto the private mobile phone card of a company employee.

The employee, surnamed Wen, inputs customers' payments to the company via the computer in the outlet in Xiangfan County, Hubei Province, a newspaper said yesterday. Wen was looking at her own account when she got up to serve a customer. The girl, whose father was selling fruit outside, slipped into Wen's seat and accidentally deposited the 325 million yuan to Wen's card. Wen reported to the boss and canceled the deposit. The company fined Wen 500 yuan for carelessness.
