SHANGHAI, Aug. 15 -- Quanyi Education Consulting Co has teamed up with the city's Charity Foundation to set up a fund to provide books to poor, migrant students.

The Zhiai Reading Growing & Love Fund will be used to buy new books for such children while residents can donate unwanted or second-hand books to the fund, the two announced at a ceremony at this year's Book Fair at Shanghai Mart this morning.

People can also exchange used books for new ones with the fund, which is a part of a mobile neighborhood library project.

The fund will be supervised by the foundation and donations are also welcome.

Shanghai Art and Literature Publishing Co offered 100,000 yuan (US$13,193) worth of books to the fund today. The books will be given to Yuying and Xinxing primary schools in Yangpu District.

The two schools cater to the education needs of migrant families.
