Website launches insurance for ayis
2007-10-17 02:41:53 Shanghai Daily

A LOCAL Website has launched a new service for families to insure their ayi against accidents, property damage and illness.

For 365 yuan (US$47), the coverage includes nine items such as property insurance, household service insurance and physical checkups, said www.diyijiazheng.com.

For example, if an ayi had an accident at work, the employer won't have to worry about paying compensation, as the insurance company would pay up to 80,000 yuan.

And if property is damaged by an ayi, the employer could also get compensation, explained Xu Jianhua, general manager of the Website.

Ayis can also go to designated hospitals for physical health checks once a year, said Xu.

Two insurance companies, two hospitals and 10 household companies have joined the program, according to the Website.
