BEIJING, Dec. 9 -- Han Tao, a logistics manager working in central China's Henan Province, earns 2, 000 yuan a month. As a bonus, Han's company also pays monthly salaries to his family members - 200 yuan to his wife and 100 yuan to his father who lives in another city.

AAA International Brand Operation Organization, a little-known marketing company, is in the media spotlight this weekend for its unique salary policy.

"It is really heart-warming, as Chinese attach much importance to family relationships," Han said in a media report. "Three hundred yuan is not a great deal of money, but the company won the heart of my family. My father urges me again and again to work hard."

The local newspaper Henan Business quoted Chen Qiwen, the company's deputy general manager, who said that he and the general manager came up with the idea as a reward for managers in light of the company's growth in recent years.

"I have never imagined the small amount of money played such an active role," Chen said.

No manager has left the company in the past year, which Chen attributes to its new salary policy. The policy will cover all employees in the future, he said.

Wang Chunlong, a psychologist who lives in the province, also speaks highly of the innovative measure, saying it promotes employees' identity with and loyalty to their company.
